David Carter

VICE PRESIDENT/COO

After graduating from the University of North Texas with a degree in Mechanical Engineering Technology, David went to work for Lockheed Martin as a Manufacturing Engineer where he was responsible for maintaining the engineering configuration for tooling utilized to develop our nation’s top fighter aircraft. As his career developed, he faced further challenging opportunities, such as developing and managing projects that required full product line integration where he conceptualized and developed the product tooling, and worked with vendors and product suppliers to develop a streamlined manufacturing processes.

Upon receiving a strategy and entrepreneurship MBA from SMU, Mr. Carter’s role at Lockheed Martin was expanded to managing a team of manufacturing engineers. The team was tasked with integrating projects designed to reduce the amount of time and cost to produce the aircraft.  He was at Lockheed Martin for fourteen years before making the transition to TekConcierge.

With the dream of owning their own business, Heath and David formed TekConcierge in 2009.  The goal was simple: to guide clients through the myriad of challenges that technology brings to business and provide a level of support that clients value. The notion of a concierge isn’t simply providing business support; it’s going the extra mile to make sure clients have an amazing experience with the team.  It is providing a personal touch when the client needs support and communicating in a way that is not overly technical and mundane.  Since founding the company as partners, Heath and David have grown the business consistently, looked for ways to improve upon services delivery, developed a strong team, and are excited about the future.

David enjoys leading the company throughout many different challenging circumstances. In the course of his career, he has enjoyed developing his organizations talents and challenging his team to improve their skills.  He loves owning his own business using his engineering experience and business skills to develop an innovative company that is designed to help others succeed. David is passionate about his personal health, family, and faith.  He is married to the love of his life, Lacy.  Has three girls who are 12, 9, and 4.  He is an avid skier, cyclist, and adventurer.  Don’t be surprised if you see him on an overland expedition sometime soon enjoying God’s great outdoors.
